PwC's CA(SA) Training Contract — Alternate Stream offers aspiring Chartered Accountants a flexible, innovative and SAICA-accredited three-year training contract across three specialised programmes: the Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE), the Independent Review Centre of Excellence (IR CoE), and the Virtual Financial Services Remote Team Member Programme (VFS).

Each stream is designed to help you qualify as a CA(SA) within three years while offering virtual, hybrid or in-office working arrangements suited to your lifestyle and career goals. This intake is for the 2027 year, with positions available across Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha.

Conducting audits across various clients and industries including banking, insurance, manufacturing and mining
Collaborating with audit teams and other lines of service during secondments
Engaging with clients virtually through calls, emails and systems as well as in person during secondments
Working across five key audit sections — Bank and Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Property Plant and Equipment, and Payroll
Obtaining all required SAICA competencies to be signed off after three years
Analysing financial data and completing independent reviews across a range of client entities
Delivering specialist audit support to financial services clients including retirement funds, medical schemes, insurance and asset wealth management
Contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration and quality within your assigned team
