No formal work experience is required — this is a WIL entry programme for students completing their practical training requirement. However, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn quickly are essential from day one.

Is there career growth after the WIL placement?
Yes. On completing the 18-month WIL, you will receive your National Diploma — a nationally recognised qualification. WIL completers who performed well at Truworths are competitive candidates for permanent HR Administrator, Recruitment Support, Training Coordinator, and Employee Relations roles within Truworths or across South Africa's retail, FMCG, and financial services HR sectors. A Truworths Head Office WIL credit on your CV is a significant advantage in the Cape Town job market.
