1 Programme Overview

eThekwini Municipality is offering an 18-month Community-Based Social Media Internship for unemployed youth in Durban. This Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme is designed to help NEET youth gain practical experience in municipal communication, digital media, and community outreach — while completing their academic qualifications.

South African citizen residing in eThekwini Municipality
Currently unemployed and NEET status
Not currently in education or training
Studying or have studied in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing or related communication field
WIL placement requirement from your institution
Councillor confirmation letter proving your address and ward
